Sometimes entertaining, but his lectures don't really prepare you for the tests. The questions on the tests are always much more difficult than what he goes over in the lectures. Homework is usually difficult and time-consuming. That being said, he does give a very generous curve. I think 75 was the cut-off for an A-.

Professor Pfister taught mostly the basics in class then made the homework and exams way harder (office hours were helpful though). The average on each of the exams was about a 50%, but his grading scale is very generous. Overall a nice, funny guy and a pretty good teacher who really made the effort to get to know everyone in the class.
Really nice guy, but not a good teacher. It is impossible to understand what he's talking about, and I had to teach myself the entire content out of the book. His tests are also unpredictable and very difficult, although he grades on a scale of 0-25 D, 25-50 C, etc., so it ends up working out, but its very frustrating to study for a test and think you know everything and then get it there and have no idea about anything.
This is not the easiest intro. class. The class average on the final was 36 out of 100. Nevertheless, he curves the class.
Rather goofy and very enthusiastic about his teaching. Makes himself very available and approachable. Lectures are usually easy to follow.
