One of my favorite classes I have ever taken at UVA; I highly recommend this class. If Lolordo teaches other classes in the same way she teaches this one, than I would recommend those as well. Lolordo is clear, respectful of questions, and humorous (without letting her jokes get distracting). I ended with an A- but what I took away from this class surely cause a double negation of my grade ;)

Lolordo is awesome. It takes a few classes to adjust to the way she speaks, but her lectures were entirely focused on teaching us as students, and our questions always were treated as a priority over her intended lecture material. She pretty much summed up all the reading, although it would be essential for the final paper to have read at least a good portion of the fairly intricate (although not long) readings. 2 tests with no surprising material, and a final paper with plenty of time and resources to write. Wish I were I PHIL major, it was a blast.
