A good class to take if you are interested in music theory. Professor DeVeaux seems pretty passionate about music theory and knows what he's talking about. He can be a little intense or may go off on tangents, but he teaches you everything you need to know. He's pretty chill about grading and makes it easy for you to do well. Homework can be occasionally challenging or time-consuming, but the class never felt stressful or overloaded. The only thing you need to know going into the class is how to read sheet music. The class goes from learning about the major scale to composing your own piece.
