Still not sure who John Mayhood is. This class was taught by Christopher Luna-Mega and he was pretty cool. This course covered the keyboarding basics very well. If you do not read music, I wouldn't recommend this class. I'm sure you could still do well if you can't read music, but I don't think it would be worth the stress for two credits, especially because you'll have to dive directly into reading in treble and bass at the same time. However, if you do have some musical background, this class is super fun and low-stress. Professor is really kind. I learned a whole lot about music theory as well!

Really enjoyed this class. The only negative side of the class is that John is not very responsive when it comes to emails. Still, he's a good instructor. I recommend having a decent understanding of how to read music before coming into the class. Also, DO NOT SAVE THE ASSIGNMENTS FOR THE LAST MINUTE. Practicing consistently is the only way to get better unless you're already really good at playing piano. It will also make your life a lot less stressful when the assignment deadline rolls around.
