This class was really great, even if you don't know anything at all about music. I'm not really sure how this class would function in a normal semester, but over the summer it was very relaxed and low-commitment. Almost every class period was spent simply listening to music for an hour or two, with a few assignments scattered here and there throughout the semester. Rami was an excellent instructor - he returned assignments usually within 24 hours, and he gave more detailed feedback than I've ever received in any other class. It felt like he was genuinely interested in engaging with the ideas you wrote about, not just verifying that you were writing what he wanted you to.
