Not as much of an "easy-A" class as people say it is. Homework can be confusing and takes some time for people whose music skills are rusty or have very little experience. Even some of my friends who've played instruments had to put considerable effort in studying to get A's. Since there are no grades posted for this class, the average for exams (3 midterms + 1 final) was late 80s/early 90s. Weekly assignments (worksheets) were mostly 99s/100s. Ervin was a good lecturer, you can see he tries hard to make the class fun. Was always for available for help in homework and exam prep so he definitely made the class more bearable than it would've been. Definitely would recommend to refresh yourself on reading music.
