Professor Arone is great! He's very enthusiastic about the material and is open to answer any questions. He does have an accent so it may take a bit to get used to, but it did not derail his lectures at all. Probability theory is "probably" one of the more interest math classes I have taken; the material itself is rather enjoyable. The textbook doesn't really help although the homework is from the book. The homework get's harder as the course moves along and there are occasionally some really tricky problems, but for the most part it is very doable. He's extremely generous about the grade and curves the class quite a bit at the end. It is one of the few math courses I would recommend to non-math majors.

I loved this class. Arone is the best math professor I've ever had. His accent is goofy but more endearing than frustrating. He truly cares about helping students understand and will go back and teach a topic in an entirely new way if you ask a question. Always very available with office hours/email. The class was difficult and fast-paced, but doable and interesting.
