Without question one of the best lecturers currently in the mathematics department. Professor Campbell was able to break down difficult concepts into understandable pieces, and his approach to learning is stellar. For someone who is not particularly keen on math, this class was excellent and genuinely made me consider taking a mathematics minor.
Homeworks are designed to challenge, and tests are designed to check in. As with most courses in the math department, your grade consists largely of tests (70%) and homework (30%). Professor Campbell gives significant guidance for exam preparation, and if you attend lecture and do the problem sets, the exams should be a breeze.
If he seeks it, this man deserves tenure. He is able to make chalk sing.
