I would look for a different professor if you want to take this class. Professor Zhang goes really fast through the course and confuses people a lot. Mid-semester I noticed that a lot of people were reading the textbook in class instead of paying attention, and I actually did this too. Many of the students had already taken the class before, so he made the final intentionally harder because he didn't want a lot of people to get As. Also, sometimes when I went to office hours for a topic I didn't understand he would look at me confused and would just continue to confuse me. If you want a good grade in this class, you need to study a lot and read the textbook! Going to office hours helps when tests are coming up because he gives hints about what to expect.

Gives lots of homework that is pretty difficult, but the questions on the tests are far simpler than the ones that you see on the homework. If you put in the time to figure out each homework problem, you will do very well on the exams.

I struggled to under the material when Professor Zhang taught the material but usually got it through the homework assignments. However, Calculus 3 is a really interesting subject, probably the best in the series, and I highly recommend taking it because it looks good for a variety of majors, and it was honestly just really fun.
