Don't take this class unless you are required to for your major. Also, it is not easy to come in to directly following high school math classes. Two midterms and a final (6 or 12 short answer questions each), weekly quizzes and homework set.

Professor Arone is a great teacher to get for this class. He is a little tough to understand at times but he tries to explain things very well and even throws in a joke every now and then. Very helpful during office hours. Homework is worth a lot of your grade but midterms were fairly easy. Final was very difficult but I think it was curved a lot.
Arone has a terrible thick accent that makes it difficult to understand him. It is difficult to understand his explanations because the material is already challenging enough. He teaches straight from the book for the most part, but WebWork problems sometimes come straight out of lecture. First 2 midterms were a joke, and then final blew me out of the water. Kind of annoying, wouldn't recommend this class unless it's completely necessary for you.
Arone was not the most engaging teacher, often writing on the chalkboard with his back to the class rather than engaging the students. Very nice guy, though and willing to help you out. Maybe it's just because I took it TuesThurs and the classes were long, but I did not like this class. Exams throughout the semester were fair, but the final was VERY HARD. Almost impossible. I hear Arone is preferable to the other guy who teaches Calc III though.
he was difficult to understand and often wasted time with difficult theorems that he couldn't explain. he would often run out of time for actual examples. he spent two classes explaining a 2 week material and made this 40 percent of the final.
Can't understand him. His lectures suck.
