Professor Wan is awesome. He is really nice and was always available to help when I was struggling with concepts. My best advice is to go to office hours. I didn't enough and could probably have done better if I had gone. Bottom line the class is really hard, but the professor you take it with can make a difference, especially if they're as helpful as Professor Wan.

Mr. Wan is an excellent professor. He does a great job of explaining the different concepts and methods in Calculus II. Some of my classmates claimed to have difficulty understanding his English sometimes, although I rarely ran into this problem.
People say that Calc 2 is one of the hardest classes at UVA, but don't let that deter you from taking this class. Speaking as someone who took AP Calc BC and Multivariable Calc/Differential Equations in high school, most of this class was a review so bring your old notes to college with you! Small warning: this class goes into depth on sequences and series, which is probably my least favorite unit of all time. Even so, the notes we take in class are really detailed and Prof. Wan is more than willing to meet outside of class. Even though I won't be majoring in mathematics, I'm glad I took this class because it wasn't overly difficult and the work was relatively straightforward. Homework is usually online and can be difficult at times when it doesn't quite match up with what we did in class, but it's do-able. Written homework occasionally, but don't freak out because Prof. Wan explains the problems ahead of time so you know what to do.
He is a great professor and is really good at explaining things. He answers everyone's questions and replies to emails very quickly. The class material is difficult, but he does a good job preparing you for the exam. I would definitely recommend him!
