If you absolutely have to take A Survey of Calculus II, definitely take it with Gabe. He is super quirky and it makes lecture rather entertaining as well as enlightening. Moreover, he always tries to open up new office hours and highly encourages questions - he waits about 30 seconds after going through something complicated in order to give students time to process what just happened and thereby ask questions about it. His in-class quizzes are not too bad if you understand the Webassign homework due the Sunday before the quizzes are administered. Where this course really falters is the exams; they are not made by the students but rather the department. As a result, sometimes the material does not align and sometimes the applications on the exam are way beyond what we did in class. Ultimately, try to avoid this class if possible. However, if you need to, take it with Gabe no matter what.
