Terrible TA. The language barrier makes this course much harder than it should be, and her teaching style is awful. All that she does is re-write her notes from the textbook on the board during class, whilst reading aloud, almost inaudibly and certainly unintelligibly, what she's writing as she writes it. She then pauses to ask if there are any questions every few minutes, giving responses that either don't help to explain the ideas whatsoever, or responses to questions that were a direct result of the students being unable to read her awful handwriting or understand her incredibly poor command of the English Language. In short, she is the worst teacher I have ever had, not just at UVa, but in my entire time as a student. Why anyone in their right mind would ever have allowed her to teach a class is beyond me, I can only assume there is no screening process for these positions, otherwise anyone with half a brain would realise within 10-15 seconds that she is incompetent in the extreme and completely impossible to understand.

I was extremely disappointed with this class. The language barrier with the professor is extremely frustrating, grades on the two midterms averaged in the 60s, classes were extremely frustrating and made students feel lost and disengaged, there was little correlation between the homework, lectures, and exams, and you have to teach yourself from the textbook. I strongly recommend that you do not take this class with this instructor.
