Ann Reimers sucks, if you can avoid her please do yourself a favor and take this class with literally anyone else. Her teaching method consists of "throw everything against the wall and you figure it out," and "everyone else is stupid except me" which makes her insufferable and uninformative. Luckily statics is easy so if your physics background is decent, most of it will be intuitive. The class consists of groupwork and homework, but most of it is optional (about 1 assignment per week is required), a big project at the end, and three take-home, open note tests. There is reading in the textbook, but most of it is exactly what she says in class, just said better.
