Crawford is a great professor--enthusiastic, clear, entertaining. Took it for a language requirement and it was what I expected.

Professor Crawford is amazing. She's funny and nice and will talk to you if you have any questions at all. Her class was completely manageable and I learned a lot in this class.
Crawford taught the hardest 101-language class I've ever taken. Talk about speed-Latin. I felt as though I was constantly behind the gun after doing all of the reading and was constantly asked meticulous questions which were of minor relevance. Overall, I don't suggest it.
It is a pretty fun class, but it can be difficult if you have not taken Latin before. I think that any previous experience in Latin would be useful and make the course much easier.
It is a fun class, but it defiantly helps if you have had some exposure to Latin. You go through the material pretty quickly, but Professor Crawford will slow down if everyone is struggling. Quizzes are very regular, but sometimes the pop quizzes are not graded if everyone does poorly.
Professor Crawford is an enthusiastic and effective lecturer. The daily homework assignments force you to stay on top of the material so the many quizzes, both scheduled and pop, aren't too bad. At first it seems like there is an overload of graded material, but in reality it's nice because you can blow it on a few and not worry about it.
I absolutely loved this class! I would recommend it to anyone. As long as you keep up with the homework and study a bit for the quizzes, you'll do well. And there are so many grades it doesn't really matter if you mess up on a few. Overall a great class!
Professor Crawford is one of the most endearing people that I have ever met. She genuinely enjoys teaching and it rubs off on you as long as you aren't too cool to let it. The course can be slow at times, particularly if you have a solid background in other languages. Everyone should have Latin before they graduate from college.
