EBUS 1800 is 100% on the easier end of the courses you will encounter at UVA. It gives you a good introduction to the EBUS minor, and if nothing else is an easy A. Major assignments for this class include two quizzes/test, and a final paper due at the end of the semester. The paper is a little long, but can be done in groups. With good teammates, it's nothing to worry about.
Professor Cheng is a super friendly and funny guy, honestly one of my favorite professors. He even gives you his phone number in the syllabus, which is not something I usually see professors do. I will say, lectures can be somewhat boring sometimes. Attendance is required, and there is an attendance sheet. Out of what you're learning, a lot of it will not be found in the quizzes. Regardless, whether it's for the GPA boost or out of interest in the EBUS minor, I would recommend this class.

This was a really interesting course and Professor Cheng was very knowledgeable in what he was talking about! The class is case-study focused and there are not a lot of assignments there are just two quizzes (1 midway through the semester and 1 at the end of the semester) and they are take-home, open notes. The final project is a group paper in which you have freedom to choose your topic. Overall, I would recommend this course to anyone who is interested in business.
