I loved this class so much, and Dr. Paoletti is seriously the best. She is extremely kind and understanding and will always adapt to her students' needs. This class was very interesting and a good survey class considering the super broad class title. I will say that she does move through lecture content fast, but she has 1 different student upload their notes every class. She is also self-aware of how fast she moves through lecture. Dr. Paoletti is extremely well-versed in the class topics and is a great lecturer in my opinion. The readings for the class were very reasonable, and the discussion section was actually super helpful in reviewing the content and important definitions (lots of credit to my TA Leo). There were only a few reading assignments, but they were really easy. The paper was a typical art history formal analysis and very straightforward. The exams were also very reasonable (you see the questions and definitions beforehand to prepare for the exam). I loved this class so much, and I always recommend it.

I would highly advise against taking this course. Professor Paoletti is extremely disorganized and we were behind on course material for most of the semester.
