DS 2002

This is a bit of a rant on Rivera. Dude pulled up to class at least 5 minutes late every single class (which sucked cause it started at 6:30 pm), also always ended class late (up to 20 minutes after class let out sometimes) and was overall disorganized. I understand that he also has a full time job and had a baby in the middle of the semester, but it seemed like his focus and priorities were never on us and the course, which is obviously frustrating. On multiple ocasions he changed deadlines randomly or didn't give us enough instructions to complete the labs and assignments properly. Once when I asked the TA help he literally told me he didnt know and that I should ask ChatGPT, which to be fair was always better than what he said. The only saving grace of this course was that we were able to do projects and presentations in groups, which helped but also we can't help each other much when we all literally don't know whats going on. Again, I understand it is his first time teaching and that he had a lot of things going on this semester, but I don't think it is fair that we need to go through that too given that we have nothing to do with this. I do not reccomend you take this course with him unless he miraculously gets better at becoming a teacher. With that said if you go to Chat for the assignments and pay attention in this class its easy to get a good-ish grade.
