This course was fantastic--it's in the name, after all. While it was an easy A, the coursework and classtime felt very worthwhile. Professor Chen is great at facilitating conversation and making the class interesting, he's very caring and understanding. There are several readings a week before class, and you write 'journals' on the readings and class times. Other than those, the only requirements are regular attendance and submission of a final project. His expectations are clear--if you do all the journals, readings, participate in class, and submit the final project, you will get an A.
This was one of my favorite classes at UVA, I cannot recommend it and Professor Chen enough.
