Professor Patterson is pretty cool. She's approachable and helpful and knows a lot about the subject. She makes the content easy to digest for her students and allows adequate time to complete projects/assignments. The assignments may seem daunting at first, but once you get into it and start, along with using your notes from class, it's really not that difficult, especially since some assignments will be spanned out over up to three weeks. There's only one reading for this class at the beginning of the semester, but that's it. The rest is just notes from class (must be handwritten bc no tech allowed) and assignments. There is a final exam at the end of the class. There is also a participation grade.
I took the entreneurship skills accelerator with Patterson in Fall 2024 (not sure why that isnt an option). The content is applicable to the real world if you plan on starting an organization/business but often boring to sit through when we got to talking about basic business concepts and processes. Patterson is nice enough but strict when it comes to attendance, participation, and NO screens. The guest speakers were cool and the few assignments we had were pretty easy. There is a final 'exam', which I wasn't expecting but ended up with an A- on. Make sure to pay attention in class and review the content. I got an A- overall which was kind of surprising because I had hoped/expected to get an easy A.
