I really liked the topic and the discussions we had in class. Overall not that hard but I made it a lot harder on myself by procrastinating work. Mason is a bit unorganized when it comes to providing you with explicit instructions but he never penalized us for anything. We also didn't know our grades for any of our writing (done weekly- but not difficult) or our final 12 pg papers.

This was a very interesting course to take, especially for the second writing requirement. Professor Mason is really passionate about how photography and history come together and it comes through in his lectures. Sometimes lectures go off on a tangent but you are still learning so it really doesn't matter. The class ends with a final research paper and to give you time to write it he cancels class but is available for help during class time. The only other assignments are weekly essays on the readings. Honestly this was a great class and I highly recommend it for second writing.
