Took this class at the suggestion of a friend who took this class under a different name (I can't recall it at this time) and I was glad I did. For someone with little knowledge of contemporary challenges Native Americans face, I learned a considerable amount about Native Americans in a more modern context. Work isn't too bad: discussion posts about readings due before class (but you don't have to write about all of the readings for the posts) and a couple of papers and a final where you can choose what you want to do which wasn't too bad. Only negative is the readings were often posted pretty late (sometimes after 9 pm when the posts were due by midnight), but she isn't too strict with enforcing the discussion post deadline if the readings are posted that late. Interesting class overall that isn't too difficult.
