This is probably the greatest thing ever conceived by any human in the history of humanity. Being part of this beautiful initiative to create a more connected community is nothing short of amazing. There is so much you learn about people and yourself through this experience -- facilitating a Hoos Connected group -- whether it be a first-year group or an upperclassmen group (I have now facilitated one of each). They both have their perks and hardships, and you end up learning so much regardless of what kind of group you facilitate. An extroverted group? You learn the beauties of people and how different, yet similar, everyone is. An introverted group? You learn how to work through the awkwardness and work at the other people's pace, which is a skill in itself. I can definitely say that I have become a more whole and better person as a result of facilitating. The supervisors are all great and really care about the class and making sure that every facilitator feels confident and comfortable leading. They will work through problems with you while still allowing you to be in the driver's seat. Highly recommend for anyone who is even remotely interested.

Hoos Connected is my favorite class every semester! I can't recommend facilitating enough! You meet once a week to facilitate a small group alongside a co-facilitator and then meet with a supervision group for 1hr15min to discuss how it went. A wonderful low stress and fun class!
