It was the easiest class I have taken thus far at UVA. The professor is awesome and incredibly flexible especially with extensions and family issues. Unlike other "easy A" classes, I felt as if I actually learned something worthwhile, not just a random niche topic. Only four assignments the whole semester: 2 mini essays (the "midterms" for the class) ~1 page each about the readings. Don't have to do all of the readings to do well, just a broad understanding is beneficial enough. Final project you have a month to do and it is a presentation and an essay. The essay is long, 8 pages, but easy to write if you pick an interesting topic. You can pick almost any topic that relates to the class topic of environmentalism within the humanities, doesn't have to be about Italy. Attendance is not taken, but should be shown up often enough to earn participation points. Sometimes the professor can ramble and class is slow but just bare through it, especially at the beginning of the semester. Overall 10/10 easy A class would recommend
