Professor Parker is an incredible instructor! He's very knowledgable on literature in general, and he's the type of guy who knows just about every random fact off the top of his head. His passion comes through in his lectures, which are discussion style and allow for as much input as the student wants to give. I wasn't sure what to expect from this class, but overall, the reading load was tolerable, the conversations were engaging, and the tests weren't too difficult. It definitely surprised me how much respect I gained for all of these ancient works. That being said, while I enjoyed it as an English major, I wouldn't recommend it to everyone. If you don't like reading some dense plays and discussing narrative, craft, and complexities of writing, you won't enjoy this class.
