ENGL 2508

So I took this class during summer session 2 with Professor Fowler, and I had a great time. We focused on many science fiction short stories and books, which I wasn't expecting to really enjoy much, but she chose readings that were very doable, even if you don't love science fiction. In an online setting, we had Zoom classes in which we held discussions on the readings. The workload for the four-week class during the summer was a little daunting, but definitely doable. We in total read 3 novels, ~22 short stories, wrote two essays, presented one author introduction, and presented a final presentation on the novel that you chose as the third novel to read. Professor Fowler is very nice and understanding, extending both essays to give us more time. This class fulfilled my second writing requirement as well, so such a steal. I don't know about during a normal full-length semester, but I'm sure that would be amazing as well. Either way, I would recommend this class.
