Fahad Bishara is an AMAZING professor! He’s very funny, engaging, and you can tell right of the bat that he’s such an intelligent man (as most professors, including women, are at this university). He’s an interesting person... saying that the grade break down on the syllabus is wrong and saying a quiz is worth “2 or 3, and if you get half of it wrong, you don’t worry about the 1.5, because it’s gone.” (this was a funny moment... but this only happened once don’t let this scare you). He’s not out to get you, as 1/2 of the people on the midterm paper got an A and the other half got a B. Not sure about the final paper, but I’m sure it was relatively the same (I did well). Readings can be a lot, but they are very interesting. Read them, though, otherwise you are screwed. Go to class, it is part of your grade, but an easy 15% that will help you immensely on the reading quizzes. We only had 3 out of the supposed 5, but they were all open note (and on the lectures). I enjoyed this class thoroughly, and you definitely will too, if you have any remote interest in this class! :) Definitely 1 of 2 favorite professors during my spring’18 semester.
