Prof. Neuhaus is a really awesome person but not a good teacher. The class lessons are exclusively based on the textbooks even though she complains that there are certain things the textbooks don't do well. She doesn't encourage class participation and we never have conversations with each other in German. While I think my grammar has improved a little, my spoken German has declined greatly this semester because I don't practice as much as I did in 1010. If you are looking for a German class to get through the language requirement, I guess this is a good class for you. But if you are actually interested in learning and getting better at German, take a different professor.
