I took this class largely to get free credits and because I had heard that R was useful. I have not been disappointed on either of those fronts. It probably bears mentioning that I came into this class with some programming experience, but I still think that I can confidently classify this as an easy course. All assignments are done through unlimited-submission autograders, meaning that in theory the only points you could lose in this course are to the small "hidden checks" in the homework assignments. This format, combined with the fact that everything is open resource/friend/professor, means that you shouldn't have to worry too much about this class if you're willing to put in the work (how much work that actually equates too will depend on your own comfort with the material). There is a minimal amount of lecture in this class, with the rest of the time devoted to work. This meant that many days I was able to able to leave class early if I was already done with the current assignments. Despite all this, R remains a useful tool in statistical analysis and a solid resume padder, so this class certainly isn't without practical value. #tCFF23
