Professor Morimoto is an excellent professor and is very passionate about video essays(If you can get into here Japanase Film class or Hannibal class go for it!). You don't need video editing experience beforehand as she does a good job covering Davinci Resolve and is very helpful during office hours. This class is pretty laid back and really just consists of 6 video assignments including a final video+statement, which don't take too long to do. Attendance is required as it is a small discussion-based course. I found her lectures to not be very interesting however but that might be because I am not interested in certain genres of film, but she does not have many lectures as most of the time you are working on your video assignment during class. She is also pretty forgiving when it comes to extensions and cares a lot about her students. If Morimoto teaches any media studies class, I would recommend taking it with her!
