Professor Hart is one of the best professors at UVA. He truly cares about his students and has a wealth of knowledge on everything that he teaches. I highly recommend taking any of his classes and getting to know him outside of class. Professor Hart wants you to do well and you can see that by talking with him.

Christ was one of my favorite courses at UVa. I learned an enormous amount about how Christians have thought of Jesus as the Christ. Professor Hart tells us tons about the early Church and the Gospels, and I really learned how to read the Gospels for the first time in my life. I really recommend this course!

Don't take this class. The lectures are incredibly dry, and they are mandatory even though you don't need to listen to write the essays. The essays are unnecessarily long and could be better answered in many fewer pages. The TA was rude and not helpful. Not an easy A like I had originally thought.
