Professor Calamita is one of the kindest professors at UVA. Her class material was very interesting but had its off moments for me. It wasn't a totally easy class as I originally expected because she is a relatively tough grader. There was also a lot of reading involved so it's probably wise to just skim it for busy nights. Attendance is required or else points will be deducted from your grade (it's a seminar so it's easy to spot when you don't go). The material was interesting but the downside is that there was too much of it and not as great of a payoff in terms of your grade.
