I took Cinematic Crossings with Professor Maria Monteros-Freeman and our focus was on the inequalities of Latin America. We had to watch one movie by the beginning of each week and submit the notes we took on it, but for the most part they were easy and interesting to watch and was the most enjoyable "homework" I had. We also had to submit a weekly reflection on our thoughts on what we talked about in class each week, but it was very easy and Professor Monteros-Freeman is so sweet and understanding. The final project was a small group presentation about one (or more) of the movies we watched and analyzing the broader concepts they discussed. Overall, I think that this was one of the best engagement classes!
