The material and discussions in this class never failed to be interesting and engaging thanks in part to Slodounik's enthusiasm. It was, however, emotionally draining to read Holocaust literature every week. On average, we read about one book per week or around 150 pages in preparation for each class period. The essays were graded leniently, so it is very easy to get an A. Overall, I highly recommend this class to anyone with an interest in literature or history.
