This class and Prof. Williams was absolutely amazing. This class was informative and allowed for reflection. It allowed for us all to hear from different perspectives on race and its role in education and in our different educational experiences. The reading material was interesting and the discussions they prompted were great. This is a class that I 10/10 recommend because it was so great and it allowed me to become more comfortable discussing race.

Joanna is so amazing, her class is amazing. TAKE IT you will not be disappointed. This class looks at race and inequity specifically in the education system. you will talk about race, and you will learn to be comfortable talking about it, as we all should. DONT let that scare you into not taking this class.

Professor Williams is absolutely phenomenal. The Course Material is incredibly interesting, but Williams gives it extra relevancy and really allows her students to engage with topics, discuss and argue issues, and brings in a lot of different materials to class periods, so the class is never boring and you never know what is on the schedule for the next day--in a good way. Because of the variety of activities, ability to participate, and the topic, you never want to miss class--there were rarely faces absent. 10/10 would recommend!
