This class is awesome -- you learn a ton (very practical knowledge) and Prof Pompano is great. Prof is super personable and kind, and she is an excellent lecturer. I went to office hours regularly not to get help, but to just chat with her because you can learn so much!! If you do need help though, definitely go to office hours.

The grading system she uses is different from anything you've probably ever seen, and, in the beginning, it was quite confusing! Basically, you can still get 100% credit without doing everything right; she gives you room to make mistakes. BUT, if you are a student that tends to struggle in classes, then beware, because if you get less than an 85 on an assignment or a test, you get assigned a grade of zero and have to redeem a token in order to correct your grade and redo the assignment. There are 5 tokens to use though, so you have plenty of opportunities. I would save tokens for exams if I were you.

Prof didn't make us take the final, which was awesome! I got an A in the class, and I worked hard, but it was a relatively easy course. Definitely attend class, otherwise you are at a disadvantage.
