This class sounds much cooler than what it is- often times you just do the reading (which is dry) and then talk about it in class without being able to add creativity/elaborate/interesting discussions.... #tcf2016

This class is a lot of writing (expected from an upper level MDST course) and a ridiculous amount of reading. Kokas is known for giving a heavy reading load. Course is well structured and the lectures are interesting. The professor is a hard grader, very few students got an A. You don't have to do all of the readings, skim and go to class prepared with something to say. She does assign movies and documentaries which are interesting. You have a research paper at the end of the semester 10-12 pages. Overall interesting course but tough grading.
