Very knowledgeable professor, knows her french well. Very engaging, funny, and interesting. Course material is also interesting, focused on satire as a theme, although this is probably only for this semester (probably will change). 3 papers, usually gives plenty of time to complete it and gives helpful feedback on drafts before we turn in the final. A couple in class quizzes/tests on the readings/movies we do in class. Overall great class. Only one complaint: this is very snobbish and I apologize, however Mme. Battis, despite having a great french accent, frequently confuses/uses the wrong vowels- particularly nasals and also a few others. Slightly disconcerting when I took a phonetics course the semester before. Otherwise Awesome cours. Si vous aimez la langue française, suivez-le!
