If you like learning French, then there is obviously a higher probability that you will enjoy this class. Personally, I enjoyed the various writing assignments and revisions. Cécile speaks very clearly and is easy to understand, and she is understanding when it comes to turning in homework on time. The e-portfolio that some language classes tried out this semester worked for some students. Keeping a blog in French was hard at first, but it becomes fun once you get the hang of it and personalize it.

Madame Rey was really chill. The class consisted of 5 essays of varying structure (email, movie review, portrait, script, etc.), several tests and quizzes, a partner project, and a bunch small homework assignments. The homework only takes like half an hour per class, but it's graded on accuracy so make sure to spend enough time on it. The class is small (mine was 14 people) so it's a very informal atmosphere. Overall a worthwhile course, and Cecile graded very fairly. I didn't put a whole lot in and came out with an A-.
