Great course! I took this class after taking AP French in high school, and it was a great review of the fundamentals of French grammar and composition. Guibal is a really good teacher, and makes the class material accessible and low stress. There are tests weekly/bi-weekly which are doable as long as you pay attention in class and study the textbook. There are also compositions every unit that involve writing 400-500 word essays. Overall great class.

Not as hard as 2320 probably should have been, gives good feedback on writing assignments, pretty laid back and low-stress. Mostly a fun class

Antoine is a terrific professor--- he cares a lot about his students' learning and the class is really not very hard. He tries his best to keep it entertaining and doesn't really give homework except for the occasional composition. Great class, pretty easy to get an A!
