This course is a fairly rigorous course taught entirely in French. Take it to fulfill the College language requirement or if you're genuinely interested/good at French. I personally didn't enjoy the class itself, but the instructor is fairly understanding and would speak in English/allow us to speak in English when it came to more important instructions, etc. It's a small class, and my experience was that we would all help one another, and while the course was daunting with my personal level of French, it had a friendly atmosphere. The class itself is mainly just speaking activities from the textbook that you do in small groups and then share with the class. There's also the benefit of no final exam (at least when I took it). However, there are daily homework assignments on top of making posts on our ePortfolio, writing assignments, quizzes, tests, etc. It feels difficult for a course that a lot of people just take to fulfill their requirement, but you are learning a language, so it's justifiable, and grading isn't usually harsh. All in all, it's a fine class if you have to take it (or really want to), but it's not easy or the most enjoyable.
