Haniyeh is the sweetest, nicest person ever. She is very open and friendly and she made class incredibly fun. Although it was everyday at 10am I LOVED coming to class because of her. I know learning a new language can be intimidating especially when speaking or writing in front of a fluent speaker but she NEVER made anyone feel uncomfortable when they had questions or made mistakes. She didn't assign much homework and the atmosphere was totally laidback but I still learned so much.
She's from Iran and there can sometimes be cultural differences but she never made students of different sexualities or races feel uncomfortable about their identity which is a major plus in my book. And she loved sharing her culture with us and was also happy to take our non-French related questions about her life and culture. I wish I could take all my French classes with her. I fell in love with French because of her.
