This class might have actually been as bad as IDEAs. If you don't have to take it DEFINITELY DON'T. I honestly learned nothing and Helmke is a not the most humble person...

No tests/hw in this class but there are several big projects (Challenge Problems) that take forever to solve. Very limited direction provided forces you to spend a lot of time figuring out how to set up the problem before you can actually begin solving it. Groups are assigned randomly, so hope for a good group. Not much work outside of class until Challenge problems are due, then expect 12+ hours of homework those weeks.
