He dropped me an ENTIRE letter grade for being late to ONE class and after I provided him with a valid excuse, he only brought my grade back up by 3 points. I showed up to class 15 minutes early after that, and my grade never got back up to where it was. I would not recommend this professor to anyone. I emailed him about it multiple times throughout the week and his responses were incredibly vague. I felt like he was avoiding me on purpose and didn't want to give me points back which was incredibly frustrating for such a low credit and boring class. Additionally, the homework was difficult because it was extremely astrophysics based but the class was meant for first years who haven't taken astrophysics yet...

Great class, there's a different lecturer from the department each week, so you learn about all the different research going on. Each lecturer gave a homework assignment, which usually didn't take too long complete. This is a good class if you're looking to get involved in research, so you can get an idea of who you might want to work with, and what you want to study.
