This is by far the best class I have taken at UVA. You spend the semester learning about the various nonprofits within the Charlottesville region and having a better understanding f the different issues our local community faces. Professor Martin is amazing and really cares about the course subject and making sure all of the assignments are relevant. The class is very writing intensive with about 2 memos a week but he is fair in his grading. It is crucial you play a role in class discussions for your grade. Take this class!
