Good class. There's no textbook, and the only reading is 2 scientific journal articles per week. 2 classes per week: 1 day of lecture and 1 day of article discussion. The first half of the class covers tundras, and the second half covers grasslands. It's a pretty interesting class, especially if you like ecology. Reading is pretty dry, and can be dense as well, but there's not much of it. There's a take-home midterm, a chill group presentation, and a take-home final. I'd recommend this class--it's not a whole lot of work and Epstein is a good lecturer.
