For someone with little coding experience, jumping right into the MATLAB assignments were fairly difficult. I just had to spent a LOT of time on them and go to office hours semi-frequently. Luckily, he only spends a little bit of class time lecturing, and the rest of the time you get to work on homework, where TAs are nice and available to help. This class is a simple A if you are willing to put in some meticulous effort to make sure all your code passes the tests and stuff.
