Granted I'm majoring in the subject, but I really enjoyed this class. Even in a large lecture Professor Epstein is very personable. He presents the material clearly (even though he's brilliant) and is excited about what he's teaching. Its tough to get an A but easy to get a B. Class based on midterms and finals.

Professor Epstein is a nice guy who presents the material clearly in lecture and is always willing to answer questions. The material at times is deceivingly simple though and some of the questions on his tests can be pretty tricky. He sticks very closely to what he covers in lecture for his tests though and reading the textbook for his class really isn't necessary.

Professor Epstein is a great person and definitely an expert in his field, but my biggest problem was that the emphasis on certain subejcts during lecture and the emphasis on those subjects for the exams were different. It was hard to determine what was supposed to be on the test.
