Geology lab is one of my favorite classes I've taken at UVA. For the first half of the course, you identify different rocks and minerals to prepare for an ID exam. These labs do take a long time, but they're pretty relaxed and completely hands on. The last half of the course is even more relaxed, and each lab is short. It was fun learning about the earth by handling materials!
