Great class -- leaving a review so more students known to take a class with Morgenstern. I wasn't very interested in linguistics (but needed a linguistics class for my major), but the professor made it super interesting. Workload was pretty minimal. We had to do readings, but she split the class into 3 groups, and each group of students would be responsible for a certain reading each class. Then we'd meet into groups of 3 during class to explain the readings. So you had to do the readings to be able to explain what they were about, but they never took very long. Lectures were super interesting and interactive -- and RELEVANT! We never had an exam, just a final research-based paper that I wrote in one night and got an A on. We did a group class project too, and I actually really enjoyed it. TAKE THIS CLASS! Easy, fun, relevant.
